I decided to take up today’s Female2Female blog challenge because I needed an easy assignment. 
If I could be anywhere in the world, I would be lazing on a beach with a #pinkdrink in my hand.
In my kitchen cupboard is cereal, juice, rice, pasta and other odds and ends. (The monthly grocery shop is a few days away…)
On my desk is a short to-do list (well for the moment anyways) and a mass of events files.
Image in my head of welcoming a beautiful niece/nephew to love and spoil.
In the middle of my to do list is planning the perfect baby shower and paying deposits for the wedding.
I am dreading my contract review which takes place tomorrow or Friday.

I have wanted to do a “get to know me” kinda post for a little while, but with the days just rolling into each other at the moment, I haven’t found the time just to sit and tell you all about me. So I was really happy when I was tagged by Angel to do this post… And even happier that there was a list of questions to work off so I didn’t have to work my brain too hard by coming up with my own! So here goes…
Opening…
Do you get regular massages? Every month I go for a pamper morning with my sis where we have facials with a shoulder massage, waxing, and pedicures.
Do you have an answering machine? I have voicemail.
What cuss word do you use the most? Uhm… The F and S words. *cringes*
Are you underweight or overweight? My weight is right for my height though that BMI thingy says I’m underweight.
Can you see your veins? Yup! My one vein even performs party tricks…

Soap? I love using the Palmolive shower gels!
Fruit? I’m not a big fan of fruit though I do like strawberries, and I eat pineapple on pizzas.
Kind of red meat? The only red meat I eat is mince and boerewors. Gary is trying to get me to eat more steak since he loves it!
Fish? I love hake and sole. Don’t get to eat fish much since Gary doesn’t like it…
Candy bar? I have the sweetest sweet-tooth so I will eat anything sweet provided it doesn’t contain nuts or raisins or anything weird like mopani worms.
Have You Ever…
Eaten a whole bag of potato chips? Of course! Though I did feel a bit ill afterwards…
Eaten lobster? Yes, when I was very young. My uncle caught the lobster himself and then he cooked it in kelp (seaweed). I remember it tasting very yummy.
Climbed a mountain? Yip!
Been skydiving? Nope. If I ever go, I’ll probably do a tandem jump…
Been water skiing? Nope. I hear it feels like your arms are being pulled out your sockets…

Wish you could change something about your life? I do wish I was able to voice my feelings better, be a little more confrontational (I absolutely hate arguments), and be able to look at myself in the mirror and be truly happy with what I see (you wouldn’t think it, but I have self-esteem issues).
Like your nose? I don’t! To me it looks like a beak. 
Like salt and vinegar chips? Love them! *Ponders if there are any at the tuckshop at work…

A small thing that people let slide but that actually has dire consequences? Manners. Please and Thank You go a really long way!
Your most macho trait? I can carry heavy boxes and pack a suitcase like the well-seasoned traveller that I am, but I call Gary to squish any spiders, bugs, creepy crawlies, etc!
The longest relationship you’ve ever had? Almost two years with my wonderful fiancé.
Your most embarrassing thoughts? Uhm…not sure to be honest! I have a very naughty mind (thanks to having two very naughty older brothers) so a lot of my thoughts can twist and turn until I’m blushing!
Your most shameful moment? Having a previous boss shout at and belittle me in front of a client. Being the well-brought-up (and non-confrontational) person I am, I just stood there and took it, and didn’t shout back. Even when she told me that I didn’t have the right body to wear white pants! And this from a lady rounder than a beach ball!

Bath/Shower? Both! Bath to relax, shower to wash my hair.
Markers/ Crayons? Crayons! The best part of au-pairing during my varsity days was colouring-in with my 2 charges.

The oddest thing I’ve ever put in my mouth is… I haven’t put anything strange in my mouth. The worst thing that was put in my mouth (and down my throat) was the breathing tube when I had my operation(s).

Loan you got was for? Technically I haven’t had a loan… I bought my car through my dad’s name since I didn’t have a credit rating.
Paycheck was for how much? R2000! I remember using one of my first paychecks to buy a GHD hair-styler! It was the best purchase ever!
Time you had stitches? I was 5ish and had an op to remove a mole on my stomach.
Time you went to the hospital for something? I was in and out of hospital a lot when I was young.
