I shared this dessert with Serena last night at Col’Cacchio Pizzeria in Benmore. She is out from Iraq at the moment and last night was our chance to catch up with what has happened over the past few months.
It is listed as “Lindt Chocolate Panna Cotta” on their dessert menu and is priced at *R40.00 per portion. It is a double layer of Lindt white and milk chocolate smothered with a Lindt chocolate sauce.
My Thoughts
The first bite (or two…or three) was fabulous but after that each mouthful needed to be finished off with some water as it was so rich. I think my sweet tooth was not on it’s best behaviour because this dessert was just a little too rich for me… This must be a first!

I had this amazingly divine dessert at The Green Peppercorn at the new Morningside Shopping Centre on Thursday night when I went for Serena’s farewell dinner.
It is listed as “Lindt Milk Chocolate Bon Bons” on their dessert menu and is priced at *R45.00 per portion. Three Lindt milk chocolate balls that have been covered in pastry to resemble a sweet in a wrapper and deep fried, are served with a small bowl of Amarula custard.
My Thoughts
This dessert was orgasmic to say the least! As you bit into the bon bon you discovered the Lindt ball had melted. And when you dip it into the Amarula custard, the chocolatey goodness is accentuated. On it’s own, the balls were scrumptious! And the same goes for the custard. I’d definitely treat myself to this again! Note to self though, when eating the bon bons be sure to eat them in such a way that the melted chocolate isn’t wasted by dripping on your chin.

I had this delicious dessert at Beach Blanket Bohemia in Sunninghill on Friday night when I went to RubyLetters‘ birthday celebrations.
It is listed as “Steamy Chocolate Fondante” on their dessert menu and costs *R28.00 per portion. It is a rich hot chocolate cake-like pudding with a gooey chocolate centre served in a paper holder and served with a scoop of ice-cream.
My Thoughts
This one was not as gooey-centred as previous ones I’ve had, but it was still absolutely yummy! It is super rich and each bite is best enjoyed with a bit of the ice-cream.

Sadly I didn’t do as well… You see, last night was the first episode of the new season of Greys Anatomy. And I needed a whole slab of chocolate to get through it. Judging by Twitter, I was not the only one to have puffy eyes and a red nose by the end of the episode. So here’s to eating the entire box of chocolates during the next one!

Hello and Welcome!
I have finally been persuaded to start my own blog after years of writing “Princess Jess” emails to my closest friends each week. The emails basically served to keep my friends in the know of what was going on in my crazy life! And it helped me to feel like I was keeping in touch with them even though I only saw them a few times during the year…
And so after a month of hinting, persuading, and generally trying to get me to do something about it, Gary (my fiancé) won! 
So late last night we set it all up. Unfortunately my preferred domain name was taken (Princess Jess), but “Jessica Giggles” suits me just fine!
I hope to write at least once a week. And I hope you’ll enjoy reading the goings on in the life of an event manager, with crazy OCD tendencies, and not to mention the love of all things chocolate and #SexyShoes!
