10 things I learnt this week

1. Just when you think you know what’s what, everything changes again.
2. May to August will not be classified as “our quiet time” at work this year.
3. I must be taking the wrong kind of multi-vits as I haven’t noticed a change.
4. I absolutely love my new cleaner! I even let her use the washing machine.
5. The week goes by so quickly that just as I start to get into the swing of things, it’s Friday.
6. It’s okay not to be okay all the time.
7. And trying to keep a smile on my face and pretend I’m okay doesn’t work for ever.
8. As much as I love my family keeping in touch and checking up on me, I kinda hope they’ll slow down soon.
9. I can only do so much in one day.
10. I need to stock up on magazines and crossword puzzles for those nights when nothing else will do.

10 things I learnt this week

8. I could teach Old Mother Hubbard a thing or two about bare cupboards – can’t wait to go grocery shopping tomorrow (Did I really just say that?!)
9. Rental agencies are bloody rude – I have left messages for and emailed three different agents about their property rentals and have yet to hear back from one of them
10. The stress and exhaustion of work, the stress of having to find a new place to stay, and the emotions from last week make the weekend ahead look relaxing and wonderful

PS Since I find it so difficult to relax and unwind, I really do wish there was a simple button I could press that would initiate relaxation. A girl can only wish…

10 things I learnt this week

1. No matter how organised I am, critical things can be overlooked, so I’ve learnt to check and recheck and check again just to be sure
2. I should always double check the DSTV guide as they are wont to change show timings when they feel like it (which means I’m left having only a few minutes of Cake Boss PVR’d)

4. Running out of gas in the middle of making dinner after a long day really sucks
5. Meeting Twitter friends for dinner is awesome and I’m going to be doing it more often
6. I really am quite a great organiser, even when it comes to organising personal dinner parties (said Twitter friends dinner)

9. The eventing “silly season” is upon us way earlier than expected
10. The long weekend ahead is most appreciated but with the amount of work I need to do for next week’s function, I could do with the public holiday being the following week instead
