I had this divine dessert at The Baron in Bryanston last night when I watched the Germany/Spain semi-final match.
It is listed as “semi-fredo” on their menu and costs *R35.00 per portion. It is a decadent frozen chocolate mousse dessert with chopped mixed nuts and malted puffs (Cadbury Whispers / Woolworths Chuckles) served with cream.
My Thoughts
It was yummy to say the least and left me wanting to order more! It has a rich chocolatey taste but isn’t too rich that you can only handle a mouthful. It is quite chilled (as the name/description suggests) but not too cold that it hurt my teeth. This being said, you do need to eat it fairly quickly to stop it from melting into a chocolate sauce on your plate (and to stop anyone from stealing tasters).
